#5.) Returning to Impact Wrestling in 2018
After being released from WWE in 2017, Aries had a brief spell in the independent scene, where he won multiple titles. He returned to Impact Wrestling in early 2018 and right off the bat, challenged Eli Drake for the World Championship. In a surprise move, he beat Eli Drake to capture the title. The initial run of being a belt collector was quite fun because he also won the Impact Grand Championship.
The peak of this gimmick saw him hold a total of 6 championships across five different promotions! It seemed like a great move for Aries, who finally found himself in a place where he was given bigger opportunities.
