#2.) vs Charlotte Flair – WrestleMania 34
The dream match between Asuka and Charlotte Flair didn’t require much of a build up. Asuka was the Royal Rumble winner from RAW and made her jump to SmackDown Live, challenging Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
The expectations were high and in the second match of the night, Asuka and Charlotte set the bar high for the night. The dream match delivered in every possible way and Charlotte and Asuka proved to have some outstanding chemistry together. It was the greatest women’s match in WrestleMania history up to that point, bar none.
It also saw the shocking end of Asuka’s undefeated streak, as she submitted to Charlotte’s Figure-8 leg lock. They embraced in a show of respect after the match.
