#5.) World War 3 1997
World War 3 was basically WCW’s answer to the Royal Rumble. Every year, they did everything that they could to try to recreate or match the chaos that the Rumble brought. As with the Rumble, the winner earned a World title shot at a later point. Initially, it was at Fall Brawl and it later changed to Uncensored.
The issue with the match was that the finish was extremely overbooked. However, thanks to help from his pal Kevin Nash, he managed to emerge victoriously. While he never became a World champion, this win definitely put him on another level, breaking the perception that he was merely a sidekick to Nash and Hulk Hogan.
