Ramon received his first WWE title shot hardly five months after making his debut. He was a replacement for The Ultimate Warrior, who Bret Hart was originally scheduled to face until he left the company. Ramon had an intense feud with Bret Hart where he insulted his family and went all out to make it as personal as possible.
It was Ramon’s best match of his career up to that point and it comes as no surprise as almost everyone has had their best match against Bret Hart. Ramon was unsuccessful in an incredible attempt after submitting to the sharpshooter
