It’s true that there were two Money In The Bank ladder matches for the women in two weeks. But the first one was historical and all women gave everything they had to become the first-ever Ms Money In The Bank.
Carmella had many women to go through but it was James Ellsworth who proved to be the difference maker. Becky Lynch was nearing the summit and the briefcase, but Ellsworth shoved her off, climbed the ladder and dropped the briefcase to Carmella. In an outstanding bout, she became Ms Money In The Bank.
She would be stripped of the briefcase 2 days later but the week following that, she managed to become Ms MITB again, this time thanks to help from the steel chair. Poor Becky Lynch was once more inches close to capturing the briefcase.
