Bayley was truly at her peak during her run as NXT Women’s Champion. She led the women’s division and was a beloved babyface champion. After winning a battle royal to crown a new #1 contender, Bayley’s best friend Carmella came out victorious. They would have a friendly match for the NXT Women’s title which turned out to be quite a banger, mostly thanks to Bayley.
But even so, it was an impressive performance from both superstars and Bayley ended up beating Carmella clean, after which they embraced. Little did Bayley know that her next challenger would be the one to dethrone her.
