Carmella is a WWE homegrown talent through and through. She was originally supposed to be a part of Tough Enough in 2010 but withdrew when she got an opportunity to be a part of the Laker Girls squad. Her destiny to become a pro-wrestler, however, was inevitable, as she would sign with WWE just three years later.
Her journey in NXT was certainly an interesting one. She was paired with Enzo & Cass for a long time and she seemed to complete them, making them a perfect trio. But in 2016, Enzo and Cass were called up to the main roster without her, with Triple H laying out a different path for her.
In retrospect, this was more than a good decision by Triple H. He seemed to know well in advance that in the long run, she would do better by herself and that’s exactly what happened. While she may not be the most technical worker on the female roster, it would be unfair to say that she hasn’t had some impressive matches. Let’s take a look at the 5 of the very best ones.
