The 619 is one of the most iconic and exciting finishers in WWE history. In actuality, it’s the code of his hometown, San Diego. But believe it or not, despite most of Mysterio’s moveset being his innovation, the 619 is not.
The move originated from Tiger Mask, aka, Satoru Sayama. It was known as the ‘Tiger Feint’ and used as a maneuver to deceive opponents into thinking he was diving through the ropes. Mysterio adopted this and changed it up, making it one of the most exhilarating finishers in wrestling.
