Rey Mysterio’s road to WrestleMania 22 was filled with twist and turns, with him initially losing his world title opportunity at WrestleMania. However, it would lead to a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship, involving Kurt Angle and Randy Orton.
While it wasn’t a long bout, it certainly was a fantastic one. Mysterio was once again the underdog and every fan wanted to see him get his moment, simply because it was the right one. After an all-out battle, Mysterio would pin Randy Orton to capture the World Heavyweight Championship in one of the greatest feel-good moments in WrestleMania history. That was for Eddie.
