After his release from WWE, Sami Callihan viewed it as an opportunity to take a chance on himself and improve as a whole. He did this successfully, not only improving his “loose cannon” type gimmick but his in-ring skills as well. Since then, he’s become one of the most talked about names on the indie scene.

He was quickly snatched by Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground, increasing his stock in the process. The biggest buzz that he got was in early 2018 and it wasn’t the good kind of buzz. He (accidentally) legitimately hit Eddie Edwards on the face with a baseball bat, severely risking his career.

He would use this to garner heat for himself and it did work. While he does continue the violence and brutality (as it’s his trademark). He’s had quite an interesting career, being a veteran in the ring for over a decade. Here are five things you probably don’t know about him.
