#5.) vs Adam Cole – PWG Head Like A Cole 2017
It was Adam Cole’s final PWG match and there was no opponent more fitting for his farewell than Sami Callihan. If you follow PWG, you know that Cole is a legend of the promotion, having been a part of it for years. The crowd knew this was Cole’s last hurrah and they were completely behind him all the way.
Some argue that this match fell short as compared to their Iron Man match in PWG. While it is a fair argument, the emotion of this match simply makes it better. Both performers knew that Cole was going to be heavily cheered and they used it as a tool in the match. Callihan’s tactics were nothing short of brilliant and both of them gave everything they had in the farewell match.
As you could imagine, the crowd was in shock and disbelief when Cole got pinned. Regardless, it was an absolutely incredible match and a perfect farewell for Cole.
