#4.) Samoa Joe vs Christian Cage – BFG 2007
It was very refreshing at the time to see a motivated Christian. Not enough is said about his TNA run, but it was quite a fantastic one. He seemed more motivated than ever. Christian was going strong on a 2-year streak of not getting pinned or submitted. Matt Morgan, who was the special enforcer of the match, played his role well as he prevented interference from Tomko and AJ Styles.
The match was an outstanding one with both performers clearly giving everything they had. It undoubtedly ranks as one of Christian’s best career matches too and Joe would end his streak in a clean finish that saw him submit Christian. It turned out to be a show-stealer along with the main event of that PPV.
