Barbed Wire Massacre – Against All Odds – 2/10/08
Barbed Wire Massacre 2 was the culmination of a feud between Abyss and Judas Mesias. Against All Odds ’08 emanated from Greenville, South Carolina, but the city would not allow the match to take place so TNA decided to air it live from the IMPACT Zone in Orlando. Father James Mitchell had been taunting Abyss with a dark secret in the months leading up to this match.
Mitchell ordered Mesias to end Abyss’ career and would even attempt to set “the Monster” on fire at one point. He finally revealed himself to be Abyss’ father and Mesias to be his half-brother. Over the course of the Barbed Wire Massacre match, Abyss was split open with a barbed wire wrapped charishot, his arms were shredded by repeated throws into the wire and Mesias took numerous bumps onto a barbed wire board. Abyss was able to walk out the victor after a Black Hole Slam on the barbed wire board ending the feud and vanquishing his half-brother from TNA.
