#1.) The Goldust character was Vince McMahon & Bruce Prichard
In 1995, Bruce Prichard gave Dustin Runnels a call about the character they had in mind for him. He told him that he would need to sit down and listen. He pitched a character, stating it to be “Androgynous” in nature. Determined to step outside his father’s shadow, Goldust agreed to the character…without actually knowing what androgynous meant.
Goldust himself revealed that he had to look up in the dictionary as to what the word meant. While he was shocked, he went through with it, creating a lot of controversy in the process. It did, however, help him cement his own legacy.
