Around the mid-90s, Dustin and Dusty Rhodes had a major falling out. It started from the fact that Dusty was never really there for Dustin while growing up. Secondly, Dusty didn’t seem to approve of his son’s relationship with Terri Runnels, who seemed to have thought was bad news.
The straw that broke the camel’s back seemed to have been a situation where Dusty drove an hour to play golf with his son, only for Dustin to bail on him in the last minute citing Terri’s sickness. It seemed like even when they were in the same room, they didn’t acknowledge each other. Thankfully, they mended the broken fence and were in good terms until Dusty’s passing.
