At WrestleMania 31 after successfully beating Sting, Triple H came out with Stephanie McMahon to brag and tell the WWE Universe that they were to thank for all that happened. The Rock would come out to confront them and after heated verbal jabs at each other, Stephanie McMahon hit what was in her own admission the hardest slap she had ever delivered to another superstar.
When promoting WrestleMania 32, she was asked about who was the victim of her hardest power slap. She said:
Hands down my best power slap so far was when I cracked The Rock last year at WrestleMania. I had so much adrenaline from the crowd and from the setup of where we were going with Ronda Rousey, that the slap may have had a little more sizzle than was originally intended.
The Rock would tell Stephanie after slapping her that he would never hit a woman, but he knew someone who would be happy to. This led him to call to Ronda Rousey from ringside to come and attack Stephanie McMahon. That story, however, would resume only two years later.
