In her retirement match, Trish Stratus would face her greatest rival Lita in an attempt to capture the Women’s Championship one last time. The two had the greatest rivalry in the history of the Women’s Division up to that point and it all culminated in Stratus’ hometown of Toronto. The crowd loved it and was completely behind Stratus.
The two women gave everything they had and they didn’t disappoint. It culminated with Stratus winning the Women’s title for a record 7th time. It was the perfect retirement for her and the perfect end to a legendary rivalry.
