#1.) Rey Mysterio Jr. inspired her to train in Mexico
Lita today is known for being one of the first-ever female high-flyers in WWE’s Women’s Division. She had a daredevil-like mentality that led her to become one of the most exciting and subsequently popular superstars in WWE, male or female.
But what many aren’t aware of is the fact that she was inspired by Rey Mysterio in WCW and she wanted to become just like him. This led her to take a chance on herself and journey to Southern Mexico, where she trained the Lucha Libre style. She had to go through all sorts of trouble and take all sorts of odd jobs in order to finance her training.
However, it proved her dedication and determination to learn the craft. And learn the craft she did. She proved through the years that she was less about the looks and Playboy covers and more about honing her craft. This was one of the many reasons that led her to reach the status that she did.
