As unbelievable as it sounds, both Lita and Luchador Essa Rios had no idea about their assigned ring names until they saw their televised debut. The two made their debut on Sunday Night Heat, where Rios answered Gillberg’s WWE Light Heavyweight Championship Open Challenge.
The two made an explosive debut, with Lita running and mimicking Rios. Rios would beat Gillberg for the title in a matter of minutes, and Lita made her presence known when she hit a picture-perfect moonsault to Gillberg after he lost the match. With that one moonsault, she stood out from the rest of the women on the roster, and few were aware as to just how special the debuting superstar really was.
