#1.) Backstage heat with The Undertaker
Once during a live event, Matt Hardy had gone for a leg drop from the top turnbuckle. Before doing so, however, he placed his hands in a prayer pose. After the match, he was confronted by none other than the locker room leader – The Undertaker, who told him firmly that he was to never use that hand gesture again.
Though it was never really explained why, Matt Hardy stated that he felt it was Undertaker just protecting his moveset and brand and what he felt was valuable to him. It all worked out fine when he listened, as he and Jeff would later come up with a hand gesture using their fingers. The funny thing is that the latter gesture was something that just happened naturally, rather than having been thought over a lot. The finger gesture would become iconic and completely associated with The Hardy Boyz.
