There wasn’t going to be anything else. The End Of An Era as it was billed saw The Undertaker and Triple H go at it one more time, with Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee. The build to the match was fantastic, with the two veteran competitors trying to prove who was better. It was a very straightforward story about two legends from a bygone era.
The match took place inside Hell In a Cell, an environment where both The Game and The Deadman thrived in for years. The drama of the match was unmatchable and they had 75,000+ people on their feet throughout. With the match seeming like it was going to be the end of The Undertaker’s streak, he survived, showing true grit, heart and guts. He once again prevailed and put to rest any doubts as to who the better man really was.
