#5.) vs Triple H – No Mercy 2007

John Cena had completed over a year as WWE Champion and the weight of the company clearly got to him as he suffered a devastating injury, putting him in the shelf for many months (or so it was predicted). It was time to crown a new champion, so Vince McMahon did just that. Except instead of making the superstars earn it, he simply handed it to Randy Orton.

Orton then “won” his first WWE Championship, after which he lost it to Triple H, who goaded him into defending it. Triple H was then forced to defend his title against Umaga and right after that, Randy Orton invoked his rematch clause in a Last Man Standing match.

So it would be the third match for Triple H that night and a second for Orton. The two went to war, with a worn down Triple H just refusing to give up. However, Orton would ultimately succeed and become a 2-time WWE Champion in one night!
