Armageddon 2008 was the culmination of an incredible journey. Jeff Hardy took on Triple H and Edge in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship. Everyone in the arena was rooting for Hardy and they desperately wanted to see him get his moment. The high-profile match saw a lot of action and tension, with many moments seeming like he wouldn’t win.
At the climax of it all, he snatched the win from Triple H when he hit a Swanton Bomb on Edge. He pinned Edge and won the WWE Championship to a thunderous ovation. The closing shot of the PPV saw Hardy stand at the top of the set on stage, triumphantly ending the year with the biggest prize in the industry.
