Jeff Hardy was Edge‘s first major challenger on SmackDown after Edge re-captured the title. The two had faced off many times before, but this time around, it was in a ladder match. The two put everything on the line and sacrificed their bodies to have an absolutely enthralling encounter.
The epic finish saw Hardy trap Edge inside a ladder, allowing him to grab the World Heavyweight Championship and be crowned the new champion.
