DELTA On Challenging Jordynne Grace For Knockouts Title: This Is Going To Be A ‘Big Meaty Women Slappin’ Meat’ Kind Of Match

DELTA looks ahead at what may be the biggest match of her career thus far.

Described as an “undeniable force” by her peers, Australia native DELTA has made quite an impression since debuting in late 2020. Over the span of three years, DELTA has collected several championships, all while evolving herself into the brooding “Adelaide Powerhouse.”

On April 12, DELTA will receive the opportunity to add another title to her collection as she takes on fellow powerhouse TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. This specific title match will be contested at Mickie James’ second-ever all-women’s professional wrestling event, titled “HER.” This event will be presented under the banner of Starrcast.

Before she officially challenges “The Juggernaut” though, DELTA has provided a preview of what fans can expect from her from a character standpoint.

“From day one, I’ve never really put on a character. But I’ve always been told that when somebody doesn’t know me and they meet me for the first time, or they see me across the room, they get intimidated by me,” DELTA told WrestleZone’s Ella Jay. “I have like a resting b*tch face, or I can be quite quiet sometimes, which can be mysterious to people. So I have used that and just translated that into the ring.”

“When I’m in the ring, I just stand tall, I’m confident and just turn on that intimidating face. Not that I use that in everyday life, but it’s just some kind of zone that you get into. Like when you’re in the gym and you’re trying to lift heavy weights. You’re trying to feel like a badass, you just get into this zone. So that’s the same zone that I get into when I wrestle. And over time, I’ve perfected it and I’ve become more confident with myself.”

The Juggernaut vs. The Adelaide Powerhouse

Looking ahead to April 12, DELTA believes she and Jordynne Grace will create some meaty magic in the middle of the ring.

“I think this match is easily the biggest match of my career,” DELTA said. “Jordynne Grace, she’s a big name, but [also] a big woman. I’d like to consider myself a big woman, too. If you go onto social media where we got announced that we were having our match, it’s just everybody saying that this is just going to be a big, meaty women slappin’ meat [kind of match]. And that’s exactly what I expect from this match. Both her and I are very intense wrestlers, so it’s going to be a match that nobody wants to miss.”

Should DELTA defeat Grace, she will be crowned as the brand new and first-ever Australian-born TNA Knockouts Champion. And with a goal of going international, DELTA believes the Knockouts Championship may also be her “golden ticket” to accomplishing just that.

HER takes place on April 12 at Starrcast Down Under in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.
