Alex Kane: Having Don King Live At An MLW Event Would Be Nuts

Alex Kane doesn’t expect Don King to appear at an MLW show, but it would be a great sight to see if it did happen.

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with MLW World Champion Alex Kane ahead of MLW One-Shot. Kane will put his title on the line against Matt Cardona on the show. Kane’s Bomaye Fight Club has an on-air connection to Don King, the legendary boxing promoter. King is credited as bankrolling Bomaye and Kane in MLW. He has also made pre-recorded appearances on the league’s show.

Kane was asked if MLW has talked about bringing Don King to a live show. Kane said it has not, but it would be cool to see it happen.

“It has not been approached. You have to take into account his age,” Kane said. “But would it be nuts? Yes, it would be nuts.”

Outside influences

Are there any other outside elements that he’d like to add to Bomaye Fight Club?

“I haven’t thought about that. I guess that’ll give me something to think about. Because yeah, it’s always good to try to broaden the horizon and open up new avenues,” Kane noted. “So that’s definitely something I’m going to think about.”

MLW One-Shot takes place on December 7 at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. The show is also available to purchase on FITE.
