Ricochet Wants To Be Thriving In WWE, Show Everyone He’s Here To Stay

Ricochet is ready to take things to the next level.

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with Ricochet during a WWE Community event on SummerSlam weekend.

Ricochet, who hails from Paducah, Kentucky, is a noted Philadelphia Eagles fan. He explained how he became a fan of the team, explaining that it started with famed Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. Ricochet said he reminded people of McNabb on the football field and his coach said he should check him out.

“He just happened to play for the Eagles at the time,” Ricochet explained. “I just thought he was so good, he was amazing.”

WrestleMania 40 is set to take place at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. Ricochet was asked where he would like to be on the event next year.

“Who really knows? It’s just so open,” he explained. “For me, I just want to stay consistent, showing everybody that Ricochet is here. Whether that’s the World Heavyweight Championship, the United States Championship, the [Undisputed WWE] Tag Team Championship, whatever it is, that’s my goal. I want to be a guy that’s not only here, but thriving. I want to show everybody that I’m here to stay, so I think WrestleMania is going to be huge for me.”

The Right Situation

Short of calling it a “dream match” opportunity, is there an opponent that Ricochet would be happy to see across the ring from him in Philadelphia?

“Whoever’s holding the World Heavyweight Championship, you know what I mean? Or [whoever’s holding the] Intercontinental Championship,” he stated. “If I have to pick just an opponent? I’m going to pick Rey Mysterio or someone like that, but it depends on at that time, whoever is holding [those titles]. That’s who I want to be across the ring from.”

We’ll have to wait and see where Ricochet stands when we get there in April.
