Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Massive Main Event Preludes a New Champion”

Intercontinental Championship

wwe smackdown

To kick off the second hour of WWE RAW, The Miz took on Jeff Hardy in an exciting and fun semi main event. Matt and The Miztourage were both sent backstage and banned from ringside, giving Jeff and Miz the best opportunity to showcase their solo careers. The Miz was able to kick out of a Twist of Fate, a Poetry in motion on the outside and finally got a small assist from Maryse to dodge a Swanton Bomb. He would hit Skull Crushing Finale and retain the Intercontinental Championship.

As random as this title match seemed a month ago, I really enjoyed all of the elements to this. From the ejections to the small mistiming moves from Hardy and finally Miz getting the most clean victory of his career, you can see why Matt and Jeff are so damn valuable to WWE RAW. They immediately make everything interesting, even in tough losses. This loss, along with a few over the past few months, could be the beginning of both men bringing out what everyone has wanted to see.

Is Enzo Amore Ready?

Two weeks in and Enzo Amore might be the favorite to face Neville at No Mercy. I would not love this, especially considering we know his limitations in the ring and how WWE usually pushes one guy at a time and then they lose. If you really want Enzo Amore to succeed in this division, do not give him the first title shot after being in 205 Live for a matter of weeks. Looking at the 6 man tag team match on WWE RAW made me really believe that Cedric Alexander should be next in line. He is the perfect fit, right now, to get a shot at the King.
