Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “Glorious Debuts and Returns Make Smackdown Live Money”

Naomi and Becky Lynch defeated Carmella and Natalya

The faces took the offense to the heels, especially Natalya. She tried to tag in Carmella, but she began to mock her on the outside. Natalya fought back and cleared the ring of her opponents. She tagged in Carmella and Carmella got hit with a suplex from Lynch.Naomi came in and a split leg moonsault ended the night.

I like how they are letting Carmella do her thing with Ellsworth, but it felt like Natalya was a face tonight after her promo. She was left out to dry, which I understand from Carmella’s point of view, but still felt a tad weird to me. It was a solid match that featured just enough of Natalya as champion fighting off her opponents and letting the faces get the win.

Lana and Tamina Team Up

Lana and Tamina continue their progression as a unit, with Lana talking about how Tamina will become champion. She talks about how she is different and her words of wisdom both ring true. These two women are the outcasts of Smackdown Live and are actually working well together. Tamina can wrestle, while Lana has a great presence on the mic and cutting promos. I am optimistic about this pairing and think it has a chance to be beneficial for the growth of both women.

Dolph Ziggler is Back

Ziggler is back and looks refreshed. He talks about getting over and being important, from dressing up in lights, having fireworks, playing a guitar, singing in the ring, etc. He mocks plenty of the gimmicks they currently have and jokingly says he is going to do all of them next week. With Ziggler, we have seen so much but I still want to see a new Dolph. How will he respond next week? I want new music, a new look and a new attitude. Dolph has been up and down his entire career. This time last year, he was in the WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. I sure hope they do something different with him.
