Isenberg Reacts: Previewing SummerSlam From The Smackdown Live Side

Shocking Smackdown Live Ending

Baron Corbin joins Damien Sandow in the list of men who failed at cashing in their Money in the Bank Contract. This decision baffles me, only 5 nights away from SummerSlam. I expect Corbin to brutalize John Cena at SummerSlam, not even having the match get started. Losing the briefcase is never a good thing for anyone, no matter how you spin it. He held it for less than two months, at times did not appear on Smackdown Live and loses it by getting rolled up by Jinder Mahal.

Maybe, I am not seeing the bigger picture. Baron vs. John, in my opinion, should begin and end with Baron destroying Cena to the point where he is taken off of Smackdown Live for a few weeks and heads to WWE RAW exclusively. I am not sure how they let this happen, but Baron needs to come out on Sunday as the most dominant heel in WWE.

If they were using it JUST to build the match up more, that makes it dumb. Nobody needs to have a career-changing moment before a John Cena match at SummerSlam to make it important.

He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
