Isenberg Reacts: Previewing WWE SummerSlam From The RAW Side

Fatal Four Way for the Universal Championship

Let’s hope the idiots that crapped all over a great Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor match last year because of the color of a title does not do it this time. This might be the most anticipated Fatal Four Way match since WrestleMania 2000. All four men are capable of winning the championship and all four men are viewed as “championship material.” With Brock threatening to leave WWE if he loses at SummerSlam, it has given WWE a great opportunity to tease his involvement with UFC even if he cannot get back there until the middle of 2018. Brock Lesnar is an experience, one man who transcended “professional wrestling” into “sports entertainment.” Why? He is the most realistic fighter that WWE has ever had. Sorry, Dan Severn.

If they go with Brock winning, I can see him losing it in September or October. If Braun wins, that gets attention to a guy that has carried the show so many weeks and months since the end of WrestleMania season.

What about Roman? I think he is the least likely guy to walk out of Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Bridge might burn down if he does (no thanks to Seth Rollins). And then there is Samoa Joe, a man who came so close of choking out Brock Lesnar. Can he leave Brooklyn as champion, one year after losing the NXT Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura? Man, how crazy would that be if the main event of NXT Takeover one year ago had the World and Universal Champion one year later?

However you predict, predict with what is best for business. Hell, it might be Brock Lesnar. I would not be surprised if they wanted to see a new guy carry the title, prepping for Brock’s inevitable return and rematch against that man. I think it should be a monster and not a man.
