Hideo Itami is out complaining about how nobody respects him. He gets interrupted by Aleister Black, who is in the main event. Hideo ends up getting a black mass to the face. Kyle O’Reiley makes his was to the NXT Universe in his first match. Kyle hits a few kicks, but Black grabs the ropes for the clean break. O’Reily locks in a cross armbreaker, but Black is able to slide out of it. Kyle hits a big elbow shot and then a running knee to his sternum. Black hits some massive kicks to the chest and a running clothesline. He hits a moonsault from the second rope for a two count. Black picks up O’Reily with his foot, but is blocked. Black gets tripped up on the rope and Kyle kicks him in the back of the head before a forearm in the jaw. He tries to hit a suplex, but both men hit succession boots. Kyle hits a knee to the face and another axe kick, but Black Mass ends the night for these two.

Man, this was a fight. A great combination of submission and kicking, Aleister Black works one of his longest matches since being in NXT. This was old school and physical, something that we do not see as much on a weekly basis on NXT. Aleister Black is a damn star and Kyle O’Reily has arrived in NXT. Both men looked great and NXT Takeover should be fun, if they can get Aleister Black the right opponent.

Aleister Black avoiding an attack after NXT went off the air from Hideo Itami tells us that they might be going with an Itami vs. Black match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. I am not sure if this is the route they are going or possibly sticking with Ohno vs. Itami. One has a deep and developed story, but Aleister Black is a must-see attraction.

If I am WWE, I book Black vs. Eric Young. Have an open challenge and have the leader of Sanity answer the call. Keep Ohno and Itami together. It would not make sense to put so much time into it and not have their payoff in Brooklyn. Either way, NXT Takeover looks to be a card that is stacked with talent and stacked with the future of the WWE.
