The WWE Champion was placed in a match against Tye Dillinger on Smackdown Live. After a short flurry of offense from The Perfect 10, Mahal came back strong and hit the Khallas for the win. A quick victory for the champion would be the beginning, as he told everyone that he is going to bring the Punjabi Prison to Smackdown Live next week.

Mahal continues to be a consistent champion on Smackdown Live, but I hate the placement of him on some shows. He is the WWE Champion, He should either kick off Smackdown Live, kick off the second hour or end the show. There should not be this useless type of segment in the middle of the show for him. He is doing too good of a job to be in this situation. Either way, Mahal wins a meaningless match and the mystery of Tye Dillinger’s booking continues.

Xavier Woods defeated Jey Uso

Woods and Uso do battle on Smackdown Live, one week after a great rap battle. There was nothing more than them possibly going a bit down from the high they had last week and I completely understood that in this situation. I did like how the other members of the teams were ejected, giving us a rare glimpse of both men by themselves. In the end, Xavier would pick up the win in a solid contest that most would see as a transition into their championship match in less than two weeks.
