Roman Reigns defeated Finn Balor
Speed vs. Power. The Big Dog vs. The Demon King. Face it: when you boo Roman Reigns out of the building, they will push him even more. He gets a reaction second to NOBODY. Good or bad, Roman Reigns is going to be pushed. I really liked this match because it brought out a thought that maybe WWE can book a match for Finn Balor against Brock Lesnar down the road where we do not think about the 100 pound difference. Finn looks strong and fast. He needs to attack his opponents with quantity of moves, not quality. There is not a need to be pretty in the ring against Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar. Fight fast and smart. They did it with CM Punk, so we shall see if they book Finn in a similar role.
This match saw the ending of Finn Balor get shoved off the ropes when attempting his finisher to get hit with a beautiful Spear from Roman Reigns. That was enough to give him the win and another victory under his belt.
I find it funny when people complain about Balor losing. Does a loss on a random May WWE RAW REALLY hurt Balor? No. In fact, it could help him evolve his character a bit, get with his former buddies and potentially bring out the Demon sooner rather than later. Finn beat Roman once and Roman beat Finn once. Like everything in WWE, we are at .500.
A Heel Turn Nobody Cares About
Goldust turned on his partner, R-Truth, before a scheduled match on WWE RAW. The reason for this? No idea, nobody cares and it simple does absolutely nothing for anyone involved. If they were former champions or relevant, maybe it could be more interesting.
Big Cass defeated Titus O’Neil
Another segment with no meaning or importance. Too bad the amazing crowd reaction from New Jersey for Enzo and Cass ended like this. Titus Brand is about as productive as Ivanka Trump’s at Nordstrom. In the words of Matthew Hardy, DELETE. (It only got a 3 because Enzo and Cass still get a great reaction and the promo was solid from them tonight)
