With the likes of AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura battling it out in New Japan Pro Wrestling last year, then taking the fight to the big stage in front of WWE fans, the current crop of talent in and out of WWE could be poised to make bigger names for themselves in 2017.

Let’s take a look at a few names who are starting to generate some buzz in the pro wrestling world, and are names to keep an eye on 2017.

British Strong Style

Will Pete Dunne emerge from the current crop of WWE UK talents, or will Trent Seven be the backup who eventually takes British Strong Style to the big stage in Florida? The UK based wrestling team look good for a spot on the big stage in the next year or so if Bate helps them on their way. These boys love breaking rules and that’s what the wrestling scene loves, and with their strong fighting spirit, they could well be the wrestlers the WWE scene is craving for. These guys could really go the extra mile in wrestling and if you feel like backing them with a bet, use this betvictor review before betting on wrestling. Of the current crop of WWE UK stars currently in-action, Pete Dunne is someone who has definite main roster potential.

Jeff Cobb

Cobb usually hides behind a Matanza mask that sends fear through his opponents, but when he’s not on the big stage and only fighting on Lucha Underground, he seems like the fun-loving character all fans want to meet and you can’t help but adore what he’s got to offer. This bloke is not to be messed with, though. With an athletic style of wrestling that sets him apart from his competitors, and with his big physique, he could be what wrestling needs on the big stage right now. Cobbs shows his love for wrestling a lot more than other wrestlers do and his ability to entertain whether he’s behind a mask or not is palpable.

Matthew Riddle

One of the most exciting prospects for wrestling right now could perhaps be Pro Wrestler, Matthew Riddle. Not only does this guy have the confidence to showboat in front of the crowd but he also has UFC experience, which gives him an advantage over his opponents. He’s been in the game for two years since he left UFC and he has taken pro wrestling by storm with some of his showings with Evolve, and he could certainly be on the path to WWE fame.

The above wrestling stars look set to do a great job in the WWE at some point thanks to their ability to want to smash their opponents whether they’re following the rules or not. Whether we do get to see these guys on the big stage in the future remains to be seen, but they certainly have the flair and confidence to take them to that level.
