Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “How To Dethrone The Queen”

Charlotte is The Queen

It is Charlotte’s world and we are living in it. The main event of Smackdown Live was Charlotte vs. Naomi for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. A match primarily carried by Flair, she was on the cusp of becoming champion once again. Instead, a solid match turned into a No Contest. Naomi was tossed to the outside and Tamina, Carmella and Natalya all attacked Charlotte in the ring. Jealously rings true and the amazing talent of Charlotte is the main reason why this storyline is booked.

There could be some truth spilled over, upset she got a championship opportunity a few weeks into being on Smackdown Live’s roster. I think she needs to be the focal point of the division, but I question turning her face. Carmella, Natalya and Tamina are nowhere near faces, but Becky and Naomi are. Do we really want a natural heel in Charlotte try to get cheers? The best part of her has been that she is cocky, arrogant but can back it up. That gives fans even more reason to hate her. That all goes back to jealousy. To dethrone “The Queen,” you are going to need someone a lot more believable than Natalya (been used over and over), Tamina (limited and injury prone) and Carmella (not on the technical level).

Tonight’s ending gives the division options. Choosing the best option is not always the easiest thing to do.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
