Predicting WrestleMania 33: John Cena’s Mixed Tag Team Match and Universal Championship Match

WWE Universal Championship

Will this match end the night? Will it last over 2 minutes? How will this be booked? Does Goldberg have more than a few months in him? When will Brock Lesnar go away again? There are so many questions surrounding this match and I think that is such a good thing. At WrestleMania XX, everyone knew both guys were going away. This time, they are not sure who is staying and who is going. Back then, there was no Paul Heyman. This time, he has carried this feud vocally for more than 4 months. 13 years ago, Brock Lesnar was not Brock Lesnar. Goldberg had no passion and no desire to be there.

People will boo, no doubt. People will cheer. The crowd in Orlando will be vocal and that is all WWE can hope for. I was shocked to hear crowds like Chicago and Philadelphia cheer Goldberg. I expected him to be booed out of the arena, but I was very wrong. This match needs to be more than 5 minutes. It needs to be closer to 10 with more than a few moves. At least give us a GOOD payoff. It can and needs to happen for everyone to not crap all over it. The tease of this match has been brewing and we are finally getting what WWE wants us to enjoy.

My prediction: an 8 minute match with Lesnar dominating after a quick flurry of offense from Goldberg. Suplex City helps this match go longer, as Goldberg knows how to take a handful of those. Boy, I would love to see a Jackhammer from Brock to Bill. At the end of the night, this is all about Brock Lesnar becoming the champion once again. Even if this championship reign does not last long, it is needed for his character.
