Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Braun Strowman Delivers in The Main Event”

The New Day Hosting WrestleMania

wwe rumor roundup

Announced as the Hosts of this year’s WrestleMania, The New Day talk about ice cream and YouTube channels, etc. They end up getting into a match with “Handsome” Rusev and “Hard Body” Mahal, which I laughed at considerably. The match was okay, but I wanted to focus more on the roles of Woods, Kingston and Big E at WrestleMania.

Why? Is this WWE’s way of trying to keep The New Day relevant at WrestleMania? They are a talented team in the ring and have proven that in 2015-2017. To be honest, I think this could work, but it is very sketchy to me. Listen, they are entertaining and will put on a fun night of backstage segments and in-ring promos. I just wonder if it will get stale and boring, not letting them work in the ring towards winning their championships back. However you see this, it was random but I am going to give it a chance. At least we know that we can expect to see them beat or compete with random jabronis over the next six weeks.

For the love of God, can we please make Rusev Great Again?

Women’s Championship on Notice

Nia Jax won another squash and put the champion on notice. Later in the night, Stephanie McMahon asks Bayley to do the right thing and relinquish the championship she did got help from Sasha Banks. Banks came out to defend her friend and after a solid 10 minutes, Bayley said hell no. Charlotte comes out and says she will just take it from her at WWE Fastlane. This sets up Sasha vs. Charlotte for tonight.

Results via WZ Live Coverage:  Charlotte forces Banks into the corner. Banks slaps Charlotte in the face. Charlotte kicks Banks in the knee. Banks knees Charlotte int he got. Tilt-a-whirl school girl by Banks for a two count. Banks sends Charlotte’s headfirst into the middle turnbuckle. Sasha miss running double knees in the corner. Charlotte drives Banks head into the mat. Charlotte figure fours her legs around Banks’ head. Charlotte drives Banks head into the mat over and over again before flipping her to the other side of the ring. Big boot by Charlotte. Charlotte sends Banks to the outside of the ring.

After a short break, Charlotte whips Banks into the corner. Banks gets a boot up. Charlotte misses a big boot. Banks plants Charlotte with a wheelbarrow bulldog for a two count. Charlotte gets trapped in the corner. Banks misses the double knee. Banks hits the diving double knee off the apron. Dana Brooke runs down to the ring, but Bayley cuts her off. Banks goes up top, but Charlotte knocks Banks off the top rope. Charlotte gets distracted by Bayley. Banks hits the backstabber into the Banks Statement for the submission victory.

Another solid match and segment. Am I still buying into Bayley? No. Time will tell how she develops, but it’s still not completely there. We know her story, so now is the time to make her more than just a fan. This WILL get old, but her talent in the ring can carry her past these issues. As for Charlotte and Sasha, a solid back and forth bout with both women putting on a solid contest. I was surprised Charlotte tapped out, but does it really hurt her? No.

Nia vs. Charlotte vs. Sasha vs. Bayley at WrestleMania is the way to go. It lets Nia dominate, get taken out by THREE women and then come back to potentially win the title. If not, take your pick on the other three because it will be the flip of a coin, multiple times.
