WWE Universal Championship Match

Kevin Owens would defend his championship against Braun Strowman and the fight was interesting. While WWE did not want to give away an entire match, they did let Owens get some strikes and beating on the big man until he was able to power his way over the champion. Lastly, Roman Reigns came down and attacked Braun Strowman causing a disqualification. He would hit a spear from the ring steps through Strowman. Reigns would hit another spear onto Kevin Owens before leaving.

A good taste of some quick offense from both men, but I really enjoyed how Roman Reigns came and attacked. He was quick and to the point, looking strong and more physical than usual. I do think the Superman Punch needs to be altered or thrown away. Reigns is so strong elsewhere that a fist does not seem extremely effective 5 times a freaking night.

It will be very interesting to see what Kevin Owens does next week on WWE RAW and if he will face Goldberg at WWE Fastlane. To be honest, I think WWE might go more of a Reigns vs. Strowman vs. Owens at Fastlane, since both men have had interference in their respected championship matches. There is still so much uncertainty surrounding so many storylines, so it will be interesting to see all of the pieces fall into place over the next few weeks.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar Arrive

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar make their way, talking about Goldberg. Heyman says “yeah, but” regarding some of the best athletes in their sport and thinks that Goldberg is that to Brock Lesnar. Brock wants one last match against Goldberg at WrestleMania.

It was simple and to the point. Much like what was discussed above with the Universal Championship, Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg could be exactly what WrestleMania will need. Will a title make all the difference?

By the way, I still hated the way Brock got eliminated. It was too fast and now we are led to believe that the only reason he can’t beat Goldberg is because of a discussion on great players and athletes against one another? I just do not love the idea that Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar looked so vulnerable. It’s different and I am indifferent about it. Brock needs to sneak attack Goldberg and make a statement sooner rather than later.
