Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Strong at the Top, Weak at the Bottom”

Cruiserweights Were Forgettable

Whether they solely want to load up on 205 Live or they were crunched for time in booking, but tonight’s two matches featuring the men under 205 pounds were forgettable. Alicia Fox accidentally distracts her boyfriend, which allows Cedric Alexander to suffer the loss at the hands of Drew Gulak. Later in the night, TJ Perkins makes The Brian Kendrick tap out in a match that might have gone 4 minutes.

It seemed as if the timing was off and WWE wanted to see if these guys could make a quick impact. Why would you not combine it into one segment, giving us an 8-10 minute match? I think that would be more beneficial. Also, Where is your champion? Where is the guy that has all of the buzz around him? It made no sense to not have either of these guys spotlighted on WWE RAW.

Xavier Woods defeated Titus O’Neil

One member of The New Day picked up a win, but it was after Titus cut a promo in the ring wanting to be a new member of The New Day. It got me thinking about a few things. First off, could they use a new member to spice things up? Or, would that be ruining something that STILL gets a huge reaction every WWE RAW event. If not, is The New Day primed for something in single’s competition? Could Big E potentially get a push and his buddies help him get there? We have always viewed him as a powerhouse and potentially a world champion guy. Well, maybe not everyone, but his success in NXT shows that he is capable of doing that. With them entering the Royal Rumble, one would have to wonder what is next for them. It is not a bad thing for them to separate from the championships, the same titles that they basically resurrected in 2016. Either way, we still get entertained from them no matter what their next move happens to be.
