WWE Tag Team Championships

The in ring action on WWE RAW started off with Cesaro and Sheamus defending against The New Day. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston did battle and the pace was fast from the beginning. Woods hits a beautiful Tornado DDT onto the outside and then Kingston hits an SOS for two on Sheamus.

Cesaro breaks up a two count and hits a sunset flip into the Cesaro Swing. Cesaro press slams Kingston onto Big E and then Sheamus catches Woods with a Brogue Kick for the win.

The match was a great way to kick off WWE RAW and the crowd responded accordingly. The tag team of Cesaro and Sheamus are beginning to add their “tag team moves” which is extremely enjoyable. Both men are very strong and Cesaro is a freak of nature athletically, so this is the tip of the iceberg. With The New Day losing, you have to wonder how they stay at the top of the division. Do we see them hit a losing streak, find ways to regroup and come back better than ever? Should they be off of television for a few weeks? With a lack of legit talent in the division, aside from Gallows and Anderson, there is not much importance outside of these two teams.

Nia Jax Dominates

I  understand why they gave her a squash over a local jobber, but I do think that this is taking a step backwards. They are still focusing on her assaults on Sasha Banks, but there are plenty of other women she could fight and compete with. Much like Strowman, there is not much more competition out there for her aside from main event women, but at least try and give her names that fans are familiar with. It would not hurt to have her fight in tag team matches, potentially with Dana Brooke or Charlotte. I just want to see an evolution of some sort, not a squash match over and over again until she faces Sasha Banks.
