Number 2: NXT Reaching Another Level

It should come to no surprise that NXT is still the most interesting brand on WWE’s television screen. 2016 had so many incredible moments, from the debut of Shinsuke Nakamura, his feuds with Samoa Joe, Tye Dillinger continuing to gain popularity, The Revivial vs. DIY in a match of the  year and who could forget Bobby Roode making a glorious debut.

When you look at the model of NXT, you see so many successful events. Every NXT Takeover event was successful in every way, with entrances and excellent matches to follow. When NXT did live events, they capitalized on those and used them for future NXT episodes. Even if NXT is taped, fans still watch it. Not many people would say that about Smackdown before going live. They are creating talent to succeed at the top. You see who will float and who will sink.

There is no doubt that NXT Takeover: Toronto, Brooklyn and Dallas were three of the best events of the year. Why? NXT’s logic is simple: make wrestling great again.

Predictions for 2017: Samoa Joe will enter the Royal Rumble, Shinsuke Nakamura will be on RAW by August and Bobby Roode will be the face of NXT.
