Number 4: Smackdown Live Goes…Live
When it was announced that WWE would be having a brand split, many people began to question if they had enough depth and intriguing storylines to do it. They also were asking how WWE could make Smackdown seem as important. When Smackdown went Live, it changed the game between the shows. We will always relate wrestling with Monday nights. That does not mean that fans will root for RAW over Smackdown. In the days of 2016, fans are smarter than ever. They will watch one show over another and not care if it is the flagship or a show that has been on for 17 years.
Smackdown Live is a show that produces some great talents that would not get the stage they normally would on a taped show. They are performing and getting natural crowd reaction. The show has its own brand, its own champions and its own management. It needed to happen, so websites like us would not spoil those big moments. Smackdown is now on the closest level of parity fans have ever seen. They are viewed as important, as entertaining and as special. Pick what you want about 2016, but this makes as big of a business impact on the professional wrestling fans than most have before.
