Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “Can We Stop This Nonsense Already?”

Ellsworth’s Contract, Ambrose’s Night and AJ Styles

James Ellsworth

The night focused around antics from Dean Ambrose, who was kicked out multiple times by Shane McMahon, James Ellsworth and AJ Styles in a Ladder Match to get his contract. When it was all said and done, Ambrose attacked Styles, but it was Ellsworth that pushed the ladder over and then Superkicked the champion. AJ Styles got tied up in the ropes, while let Ellsworth retrieve the Smackdown Live contract.

Alright, the fun story has been James Ellsworth. Is anyone else rolling their eyes after Smackdown Live and wondering why he is STILL the main focal point of a World Championship feud? I get it. I really do, but come on. James Ellsworth needs to be third fiddle, not first, in a feud with AJ Styles and helping Dean Ambrose. Especially with a week away from a freaking Tables, Ladders and Chairs match on a Smackdown Live only Pay-Per-View.

At the end of the day, none of these losses will hurt or devalue the champion. I just hope this comes to a conclusion at TLC and Smackdown Live produces a new feud for AJ Styles. Something with The Undertaker could be intriguing or even The Miz. Hell, I would love Bray Wyatt, but that falls back into the heel vs. heel aspect. Even though Bray gets cheered, I still think WWE wants to keep him as a bad guy.
