Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Who is Next and Who Left As Universal Champion?”

Braun Strowman Dominates

That is putting it mildly. Stephanie and Mick punish Sami Zayn for his loss to The Miz, even though it was a cheap loss. Strowman absolutely destroys Sami with vicious clotheslines and splashes in the corner. Zayn, playing it up to perfection, lays waste and Mick Foley tells the referee to call the match. This ends a segment that showcases how strong and intense this fast human can be.

WWE can go two ways here. They can continue Braun doing this to fan favorites like Sami Zayn leading up until the Royal Rumble or they can find one person for him to feud with. I am not sure if there is a correct answer. The guy has more personality, speed and intrigue than bigger guys who were in this role. He is better than Ryback, Kozlov and other men that had 2-3 months of squashes. Do they hit the autopilot until January? It might be the right call from a business standpoint, but not from a fan standpoint.

WZ 5.5

Rusev defeated Enzo Amore

Enzo appears naked, with a blur below the equator, in a segment backstage. Lana runs into him, which triggers this match. Although Enzo got a few offensive moves in, Rusev picks up the win.

Rusev is another guy who WWE is unsure what to do with. With no championship to feud over, is he going to also be a guy that cruises into the Royal Rumble? Who can Rusev fight against? Either way, the guy is talented and has a great mouthpiece in Lana to keep intrigue over the next six weeks.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
