The Cutting Edge and The Undertaker

Team Smackdown came down to the ring as guests of Edge’s segment “The Cutting Edge.” Edge shakes the hand of James Ellsworth and then talks to his old teammate, Randy Orton. Bray Wyatt talks for him and says that Randy will be a dangerous viper on Sunday because he is part of The Wyatt Family. Shane begins to talk and then out comes The Undertaker.

The Undertaker tips his hat and says Shane is the right call for Smackdown Live Commissioner. He then talks about how he is back and how they better not let him down. He talks about his history on Smackdown and at Survivor Series. If they fail, he will make sure they Rest In Peace.

It is always great to see The Undertaker and Edge back in the ring together. That was one of my favorite feuds in recent memory. They did so much and accomplished great feats during their lengthy reign at the top of Smackdown. One thing I would have loved to see is The Undertaker go down a line and say the following to his former WrestleMania opponents. “WrestleMania 21, WrestleMania 24, WrestleMania 31, WrestleMania 32.” There were some easy opportunities for the crowd to react and for The Undertaker to strike fear and memories back in their hearts and souls.

Either way, The Undertaker did not make a huge announcement like I would have hoped for, but he did say comments that will make everyone buzz for the next month or two. What is his next move? I have to imagine the 2017 Royal Rumble, followed by a curtain call at WrestleMania.
