No Development
NXT Takeover: Toronto is less than three weeks away live on the WWE Network. With that being said, last night’s edition of NXT featured NO storyline development from Bobby Roode vs. Tye Dillinger, Samoa Joe vs. Shinesuke Nakamura or Asuka vs. Mickie James. Furthermore, when you look at the card and notice only 4 matches for a two hour show, wouldn’t you want to add another match or feud?
Hell, why would you not try and get Andrade Cien Almas involved in something, especially with his new attitude in NXT? Where was Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Liv Morgan or other women that we will most likely see in Toronto?
I was really confused why they could not even have interviews, video packages or anything for these feuds. They could have done so much more than the basic introduction and run down of the card.
It goes back to this: NXT is really good. It consistently puts on the most entertaining specials on the WWE Network. The time between big Takeover events is long, but beneficial. One glaring issue is that you simply cannot ignore your matches three weeks out of a major event with minimal mention of them.
