Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Don’t Worry About Goldberg”

Goldberg kicked off RAW and was immediately interrupted by Paul Heyman. Heyman talks about how Brock Lesnar does not like the fans chanting his name and that he is impatient. Paul Heyman hypes up the crowd and Goldberg, saying Brock Lesnar is here. The music hits, but no beast. Heyman begins to laugh and Goldberg goes after him. Rusev comes out and cuts a promo on Goldberg looking like he does not have “it” anymore. He punches Goldberg and then the fight begins. Goldberg punches him, hits a Jackhammer and then hits a spear onto Paul Heyman.

I liked it. Yes, Goldberg somewhat tripped in the ring, but it did not come off poor.  People tend to overreact. Have you seen his workout videos? The guy can still combat. Is he the fastest? Hell no. He does not need to be. Anyways, you need to stop worrying about his athleticism. He is a guy who stayed out of the ring for 12 years. He does not NEED this.

He got excited and the crowd was at a fever pitching thinking that Brock Lesnar was going to come out. It gave a nice rub to Rusev, who is going to have to find another feud quickly to remain a top heel. This involvement showed the strength of Goldberg and gives Brock Lesnar a reason to face him in the ring before Survivor Series. If I am WWE, I have Lesnar destroy Goldberg before Survivor Series, not the other way around. It makes for better doubt and more drama.

Enzo Amore defeated Luke Gallows

A Trick or Street Fight was exactly how it sounded. The ring was surrounded by Halloween themed items and the match was okay. You had Enzo and Cass cut a great promo before, with an excellent reaction from Karl Anderson on the outside. A win tonight helps the crowd pop a little more and does NOTHING to hurt the win from Hell in a Cell for The Club. I would like to see Anderson and Gallows part of the Survivor Series tag team. Instead, I fear they will not try and tie the lines, simply adding Enzo and Cass. The Tag Teams on RAW and Smackdown are pretty deep, but the storylines with personal feuds are going to be hard to keep believable.
