NXT Takeover: Toronto will be glorious. It will also be a Perfect Ten, as Bobby Roode accepts the challenge from the man whom he turned his back on a week ago. Tye Dillinger, a guy that has been so popular for so long, is FINALLY getting a storyline with some depth to it. He is paired with arguably one of the most popular guys in NXT. I love it. I love the pairing and think both men will get cheered no matter what. Do I think Tye wins? No, of course not. I do think that Bobby Roode and Tye Dillinger can give us a few more weeks of entertaining television and a great match in Toronto.

Why has it taken so long for NXT and WWE to push Tye Dillinger? He has talent inside the ring and a gimmick (albeit seemingly so simple) that continues to get over with the live crowd. I hope this is not just a one shot thing for Dillinger. He has the tools to be successful and will finally showcase that on a big stage. This will be the second most intriguing match of the night in a month in Toronto.

WZ 7Nikki Cross Wins, New Team Destroys

We know the lack of depth and main event caliber talent in the NXT Women’s Division. It is not secret and WWE knows that, hence why they called upon Mickie James for NXT Takeover: Toronto. Nikki Cross picked up an easy win tonight, while Peyton Royce and Billie Kay beat down Liv Morgan. They put the other women on notice, including Asuka.

If the writers want to form this alliance, they need to NOT let them get beaten down by Asuka in the coming weeks. Keep them separate and make sure that they are strong enough before even thinking of scripting them in a situation with the NXT Champion. I really want to see Billie Kay succeed, but not too fast. Give her time. Give Peyton time and make these women really develop a formation that can be different than your usual female bullies.
