Matches Nobody Cares About
Mark Henry and The Golden Truth defeated The Shining Stars and Titus O’Neil. So, we have Titus Brand being an unsuccessful idea and reminding us that WWE has nothing for him. I think there comes a time when you must realize that the writers might not be the problem. Execution and connection with the crowd is key and these guys really don’t have it. If Truth did not have a catchy song, he would not either.
Braun Strowman defeated three men tonight and destroyed them all. When I put “matches nobody cares about,” maybe I was a little harsh here. When I see Braun, I continue to wonder what is going to be next for him. I like what they are doing, but they are doing it for too long. It can be the Ryback effect. Alas, Sami Zayn came out and was immediately shoved out of the ring by Braun. So, Mick Foley’s answer to Braun Strowman is Sami Zayn? Well, if that isn’t out of left field I have no idea what is. I just do not know what they can do with him right now. No Mark Henry or Big Show, please.
Bo Dallas picked up a surprising win over Neville on WWE RAW. More surprising is him attacking his friend Curtis Axel on the outside. It looks like WWE might have an idea of what to do with Bo. Unfortunately, it will most likely end up going nowhere. We know how this works with lower card talent. Look at his track record, along with Neville, Curtis Axel, Darren Young, Titus O’Neil. These guys are all in the same boat. None of them are floating and most of the are sinking. I am optimistic that maybe they can come up with SOMETHING for Bo Dallas.
Dana Brooke defeated Bayley
This surprised me and might have been a botched ending. It looked like Dana Brooke was trying to get her foot on the rope to get more strength on her cover and beat Bayley like a heel should. The match was just alright, but I think there is more to Dana Brooke than we are getting. Are they wasting Bayley right now? Should she have immediately gotten the WWE Women’s Championship? It is hard to say, especially since how good and consistent Sasha and Charlotte’s feud has been. Either way, I am good (for now) with this pairing and could help Dana get strong heat over the most popular woman in the WWE.
